Day 167 - Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Day 167 - Tuesday, June 16, 2009 –
Liam's baseball team won their first playoff game tonight against the NY Yankees (even though, I thought our team had lost since we were the home team and batted in the bottom of the last inning when we didn't need to). The team went to Frosty Boy afterwards to celebrate. Coach Bruce is just about the nicest guy ever. Go D~Backs!

Day 166 - Monday, June 15, 2009

Day 166 - Monday, June 15, 2009 –
MMM MMM MMM, Liam loves him some corn on the cob.

Day 165 - Sunday, June 14, 2009

Day 165 - Sunday, June 14, 2009 –
What a GORGEOUS day. Kevin and I spent the morning repairing the rock retaining wall by our beach. Then the Scepkas came over in the afternoon to enjoy the beach, some adult beverages, and a last minute, thrown-together BBQ. Katie and I both got quite a bit of sun!!

Day 164 - Saturday, June 13, 2009

Day 164 - Saturday, June 13, 2009 –
Liam's soccer team celebrated their undefeated season with a party at Big Fish Lake in Ortonville. Coach Derek took the kids tubing, and even though it was overcast and chilly, the kids had a BLAST!

Day 163 - Friday, June 12, 2009

Day 163 - Friday, June 12, 2009 –
The first day of summer vacation included a bit of fishing (of course!) and some Spry cousin fun.

Day 161 - Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Day 161 - Wednesday, June 10, 2009 –
Kevin and Liam had a blast playing against each other in the end of season Parents vs. Kids soccer game. Kev only has two gears, though...off and full throttle. He showed those kids NO mercy!!

Day 160 - Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Day 160 - Tuesday, June 9, 2009 –
Kev throwing pitches to Liam in the front yard, after an earlier D'Backs defeat. If only Liam could hit as well in games as he does at home!

Day 159 - Monday, June 8, 2009

Day 159 - Monday, June 8, 2009 –
Tonight was kids night at Italia Gardens. Woo Hoo free kids' meals! Liam, of course, made his own pizza. What I love most about this picture of Liam in his apron and chef's hat is that Owen took it!!

Day 158 - Sunday, June 7, 2009 –

Day 158 - Sunday, June 7, 2009 –
My niece Bailey turned 14 today! She is growing into a GORGEOUS young lady and continues to love ballet. This was her prized present...mukluks to cover her pointe shoes in between curtain calls. Such a diva!

Day 157 - Saturday, June 6, 2009

Day 157 - Saturday, June 6, 2009 –
Owen has had a BLAST playing Kiddie Kickers soccer this year. It is hilarious to watch him on the field, he is so competitive and ferocious. Although, I draw the line when he pinches girls on the other team for knocking him out of the way. Pinching is not allowed in soccer, last time I checked.

Day 156 - Friday, June 5, 2009

Day 156 - Friday, June 5, 2009 –
Kevin and I had our co-ed softball league tonight. Here are my dirty cleats after winning both games.

Day 155 - Thursday, June 4, 2009

Day 155 - Thursday, June 4, 2009 –
We tried to get Liam and Carson on the same baseball team again this year, but the stars did not align. Liam plays for the Diamondbacks and Carson plays for the Blue Jays. Of course, we had to get a picture of these two buddies when their teams went up against each other. What a fun game.

Day 154 - Wednesday, June 3, 2009

Day 154 - Wednesday, June 3, 2009 –
Kevin had ordered 3 yards of mulch for some of our landscaping beds (only the ones that absolutely needed it, we are in a recession, ya know). And he swears they delivered closer to 5 yards! So, what he expected to take him a few hours, took nearly all day. Thanks, Honey!

Day 153 - Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Day 153 - Tuesday, June 2, 2009 –
Seventh grade is almost complete. Jordyn achieved Silver Honors (GPA 3.5-3.99), a goal she set for herself at the end of 6th grade when she earned Bronze Honors (GPA 3.0-3.49). She made Kevin and I very proud parents. And as a congratulatory present, my parents are getting her a laptop in the color of her choice. She's ecstatic!

Day 152 - Monday, June 1, 2009 –

Day 147 - Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Day 147 - Wednesday, May 27, 2009 –
My kids usually act crazy or complain when I pull out the camera (which is all of the time). So, of course I obliged when Owen wanted his picture taken with the Statue of Liberty replica at Red Robin. (Owen, Jordyn, and Kevin picked me up from work to go out to lunch...it was Yummy!) What I think is funny is that when Owen said, "Mom, take a picture!!" He KNEW I'd have my camera with me...and he was right.

Day 146 - Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Day 146 - Tuesday, May 26, 2009 –

Day 144 - Sunday, May 24, 2009

Day 144 - Sunday, May 24, 2009 –
Today we had the Parsons over for a BBQ. There was swimming and fishing and paddle boating and eating and drinking. Lots of fun. Traci and I even enjoyed a Belgian raspberry beer. YUM!

Day 143 - Saturday, May 23, 2009

Day 143 - Saturday, May 23, 2009 –
Kevin and I played in our first Softball tournament together today in Lapeer. We only won one out of four games, but we had fun. We took Liam and he thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with us at the ball fields. Good Times.
