Day 252 - Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Day 252 - Wednesday, September 9, 2009 –
Even though Owen’s first day of school was yesterday, his first day of riding the bus was today. He’s been looking forward to this since last year. Here are SOME of the kids at the bus stop this year. In addition to the new kids in the neighborhood, there are FIVE Kindergartners at his bus stop. It's gonna be a fun year.

Day 251 - Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Day 251 - Tuesday, September 8, 2009 –
First day of school...Jordyn, 8th grade, Liam, 3rd grade, and Owen, Kindergarten.

Day 250 - Monday, September 7, 2009

Day 250 - Monday, September 7, 2009 –
Labor Day. The official start of fall, in my book. And we kicked it off right with a delicious pot of venison chili, one of Kevin's spicy concoctions. The house smelled scrumptious the entire day!

Day 249 - Sunday, September 6, 2009

Day 249 - Sunday, September 6, 2009 –
Tonight we had a wonderful family bonfire on the back patio and discussed the fun things we got to do this summer and made plans for the fun things we want to do this fall. I love the way the sunset is reflected in the lake in this photo.

Day 248 - Saturday, September 5, 2009 –

Day 248 - Saturday, September 5, 2009 –
What a gorgeous day for this rocking pool party at the Gulda's. There was great food, plenty to do (volleyball, swimming, horseshoes), and awesome entertainment from this local band called Trip Wire. Tons of fun was had by the whole family.

Day 247 - Friday, September 4, 2009

Day 247 - Friday, September 4, 2009 –
Let the end of summer parties begin! Had a nice evening at the Petoskeys with the Smiles, Shenfeld, Roman, and Jones families. Mr. Joel stoked an enormous bonfire so the kids could roast marshmallows and make s'mores (and nearly singe their eyebrows in the process!)

Day 246 - Thursday, September 3, 2009

Day 246 - Thursday, September 3, 2009 –
The boys had an open house at their school today "Pop in for a Popsicle", where they could meet their teachers, tour the school, see their classrooms, and have a popsicle on the playground. It might not look like it, but Owen was very excited to meet his teacher, Mrs. Kreilach.

Day 245 - Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Day 245 - Wednesday, September 2, 2009 –
Been doing a lot of this lately. But who can blame me? I got a new scrapbook magazine in the mail today. Had to tear through it, cover to cover.

Day 244 - Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Day 244 - Tuesday, September 1, 2009 –
Computer games and more computer games. I think the boys played computer games all day today.

Day 243 - Monday, August 31, 2009

Day 243 - Monday, August 31, 2009 –
One of my favorite things about living in Oxford are the hot air balloons. We see them flying around our house all the time, but this is the closest they've ever come. It was fun watching them (and talking to them!) from our back deck.

Day 242 - Sunday, August 30, 2009

Day 242 - Sunday, August 30, 2009 –
We had dinner at my parents' house today with Shawn's family and Jeremy's family. Mom and Dad leave soon for Florida and won't be back in Michigan until close to Christmas. We miss them already!!

Day 241 - Saturday, August 29, 2009

Day 241 - Saturday, August 29, 2009 –
Today was the 2nd annual Gilbert Weber Memorial golf outing at Devil's Ridge to benefit MS. Our partners again this year were the Petoskeys. We finished at two under, which is a decent score for us but couldn't touch the winning score of 14 under!!

Day 240 - Friday, August 28, 2009

Day 240 - Friday, August 28, 2009 –
Let the harvest begin!! GINORMOUS zucchini from the Terenzis, squash and tomatoes from my parents, and grape tomatoes from Stacey. MMM MMM

Day 239 - Thursday, August 27, 2009

Day 239 - Thursday, August 27, 2009 –
Today I took Jordyn and Molly to 8th grade orientation. They are now the rulers of the school, with their lockers and classrooms on the elite second floor of the building. Jordyn opened her locker successfully on the second try. A far cry from 6th grade orientation when it took her 20 minutes (and some tears) to figure it out!!

Day 238 - Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Day 238 - Wednesday, August 26, 2009 –
It's official! Owen is going into Kindergarten. And here is the long anticipated teacher letter to prove it.

Day 237 - Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Day 237 - Tuesday, August 25, 2009 –
Really? There are no words.

Day 236 - Monday, August 24, 2009

Day 236 - Monday, August 24, 2009 –
Liam has become infatuated with G.I. Joe. He spent the remainder of his birthday money on new figurines and lined them up on the chair next to his bed before he went to sleep.

Day 235 - Sunday, August 23, 2009

Day 235 - Sunday, August 23, 2009 –
Jordyn and Alicia. Another sleepover at our house.

Day 234 - Saturday, August 22, 2009

Day 234 - Saturday, August 22, 2009 –
What price would you put on this smile? Is it worth $135? Well, that's how much this new flat iron of hers cost me and I think it was worth every penny. Nothing makes a teenage girl quite as happy as a good hair day.

Day 233 - Friday, August 21, 2009

Day 233 - Friday, August 21, 2009 –
The Burnzi's Hood, was the third place team in the league after regular season play. Tonight was the playoff tournament to determine the overall league winner. And, well, we ended in third place. We had hoped to win the playoffs, but then again, doesn't everyone?

Day 232 - Thursday, August 20, 2009

Day 232 - Thursday, August 20, 2009 –
Football season has started again. Pre-season NFL, at high schools and colleges across the country, and, of course, in my very own living room.

Day 231 - Wednesday, August 19, 2009

Day 231 - Wednesday, August 19, 2009 –
Owen is CONSTANTLY asking to have a friend over to play. Today we had Kealey over and Owen let her borrow a pair of swim trunks and a swim shirt so that they could go swimming. Kev stands watch as lifeguard, but, really, I think he's just working on his tan.

Day 230 - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 –

Day 230 - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 –
Today I went to the doctor to confirm what I had discovered on August 6th. Baby number 4 is on the way. Fortunately, it's not twins! My due date is April 12, 2010, and the doc gave me some Vitamin B suckers to help with the nausea. Here we go again.
