Day 100 - Friday, April 10, 2009 -
Tigers Home Opener. We didn’t have tickets this year. And we didn’t go to the D. But, we still celebrated. Here I am all dressed up in my Tigers gear with a Mike’s Hard Cranberry Lemonade in hand. Some things are the same. Other things are different…the bottle is glass – not plastic, I’m wearing pink – not orange, I’m reading The Friday Night Knitting Club – not The Detroit Free Press, my seat is the best in the house – not at Comerica Park. But it was still a fun day. Kev even grilled hotdogs! AND, the Tigers SMASHED the Rangers 15-2, including a GRAND SLAM from Miguel Cabrera, and a horrible rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game by Kid Rock. Now, THAT’S a Home Opener to remember!

Another State victory means that the Spartans advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP! Kevin and Brian took Liam up to BW3 to watch the game. Liam was on the edge of his seat while he, Kevin, and Brian yelled and cheered and knuckled up in typical Hillary fashion. Victory over UCONN is imminent, and you can see it on these guys’ faces.

Day 93 - Friday, April 3, 2009 -
Today was Glenmoor Gals. A group of ladies from our old subdivision used to get together every first Friday of the month. We’ve let this tradition lax in recent months and decided to start the monthly outings up again. This girls night took us to Papa Joe’s and then to The Hills, where they have these fabulous flights of mini-martinis. SO fun!

Liam had been dying to make this mosquito that he had seen at his friend Quinn’s house. So, tonight, Kev gave in, busted out the super glue, and helped him put two of these cute critters together. Very cute. And very easy. (Double A battery, golf tee, mini binder clip, & super glue.)

Today was my Theatre Group. We had dinner at Bourbon Steak. Their Ahi Tuna Poppers (from the appetizer menu) are to DIE for. Which brings me to the show. Sweeney Todd...dark, and lots of death, but good.
